A FOUNDATION OF FIRST AID PRINCIPLES AND SKILLS
Learn how to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS). With an emphasis on decision making and prevention WFA creates a solid foundation of backcountry medicine. Students are trained in the patient assessment system, managing traumatic, medical, environmental injuries/situations, anaphylaxis, and lifting/moving/extrication. This course also includes CPR/AED Training. Students should be prepared to be outside for much of this course rain, shine or snow.
